Acid Buf dissolves gradually in rumen fluid thanks to its different CaCO₃ polymorphic structures, sustaining buffering capacity for more than eight hours — well beyond what sodium bicarbonate can deliver. At the same time, Vistacell's Saccharomyces cerevisiae works in the rumen: scavenging oxygen from the environment, limiting lactic acid accumulation by competing for sugars, and supporting the growth of cellulolytic bacteria. The synergistic effect of two separate products — in a single dose, at a single application point, with no additional workload.

Cruywagen et al. (2015) and Neville et al. (2019) demonstrate that when Acid Buf stabilises rumen pH, milk fat and protein content increase significantly.
