Product Summary
Powerful Fuel for Performance.
EnerFix is a complementary feed formulated primarily with isomaltulose molasses to support the increased energy requirements of ruminants. By combining different energy sources with nutritional components that support metabolic function, EnerFix complements feeding programs, particularly during the transition period, early lactation, and periods of increased energy demand.
In ruminants, a substantial proportion of energy requirements is met through volatile fatty acids (VFAs) produced by microbial fermentation of carbohydrates in the rumen. Among these, propionate is one of the primary substrates for hepatic gluconeogenesis. Glucose plays a critical role in milk lactose synthesis and the maintenance of lactation.
Following parturition, energy requirements increase rapidly as milk production rises. When dry matter intake is insufficient to meet these demands, additional nutritional support becomes important for maintaining energy balance.
Isomaltulose molasses is the primary energy source in EnerFix. This carbohydrate source contributes to the energy supply of the formulation, helping support the daily energy intake of ruminants.
Propylene glycol and glycerol included in the formulation serve as glucogenic precursors that can be utilized for glucose production. Calcium propionate provides propionate, an important substrate for gluconeogenesis.
Nicotinic acid (vitamin B3), vitamin B12, and trace elements support physiological processes involved in normal energy metabolism, while vitamin E contributes to antioxidant defense. Milk thistle and artichoke extracts provide additional botanical components that complement the formulation.
By combining multiple energy sources, EnerFix has been developed to support energy metabolism and provide nutritional support for the increased metabolic demands of ruminants, particularly high-producing dairy animals.
EnerFix is recommended for dairy cows during the transition period, early lactation, and other periods of increased energy demand.
Dairy cows: 250 g per animal per day.
