Stomach sensitivity in cats and dogs is rarely down to one single cause — it's usually a few things happening together. That's why Gaster was designed to support stomach comfort from several angles at once.

At the core of the formula is a combination of four ingredients: sodium alginate, hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfate, and glucosamine. Hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate are natural tissue-support building blocks also familiar from joint-health products, used here to support the stomach lining. In a study using all four ingredients together, this combination was compared to a standard stomach-lining protectant and found to offer similar protection.

Licorice root extract (DGL) is a component shown, in a classic study in dogs, to directly protect the stomach lining.

Calcereous marine algae, a natural and easily absorbed source of calcium, helps balance acidity in the stomach.

Ginger may help ease nausea: one study found it helped prevent vomiting, and when combined with licorice root in another study, it measurably affected digestive hormones.

Fenugreek, meanwhile, has been observed in studies to support the stomach lining's natural repair process.
